Upon completion of this course students will have generated a portfolio quality piece. The instructor acts as a facilitator and guide to allow the student to explore the creative aspects of the project to the fullest. Project Description: The store planning project is perhaps one of the most challenging projects issued to students. It requires the students to design an entire retail store from start to finish. It includes a floor plan, merchandising mix, location profile, graphic identity package, advertising, and much much more. This class is designed to introduce the student to the many facets of retail design and marketing.
Student: Rachael Roberts
Project Name: Chapter 2 Re-purposed Clothing and Furniture
Comments: Rachael's idea here is both timely and well conceived. Her approach combines the need for rethinking the idea of "used" in terms of "re-purposing". Her attention to detail both aesthetically and financially makes this a standout student effort!
Student: Joseph Birdsong
Project Name: Modern Science Clothing Boutique
Comments: Joseph's attention to detail from a visual standpoint is outstanding. Take notice of how clean all of his graphic content is and how all of the images relay the look and feel of his store. *(For more of Joseph's work check him out at http://josephbirdsong.weebly.com)
