Client: Alex Wilkie
Project Description: Design a logo for the play "Spy House" and propose possible paperback book options
Background Information: I've been working with notable local playwright Alex Wilke on developing graphics for his latest comedy, entitled Spy House. Often times clients give me little to go on, Alex however gave me quite a bit of information along with some movie and television suggestions that reflect the flavor of his work. Fortunately I was a huge fan of all the movies and television shows he recommended, which included, Murder by Death, The Pink Panther (a classic if there ever was one), Faulty Towers (I mean its John Cleese), Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, Mongrels and more. It's nice to connect via media with clients. As I started designing my logo for Alex I tried to generate an image that had a cloak and dagger feel but also an implied sense of whimsy. I am quite happy with my solution and thankfully so was Alex. I am looking to have this image serve as the basis for an animation that we are considering to be used during the performance. Look for that soon as well as upcoming advertisements for the show!
